They have tiny, white, star-shaped flowers that are in a thick bunch at the top of the plant. There are 2-3 long, ribbed leaves on the stem below the blossoms. The stem has a zig-zag shape where the leaves attach. They can carpet the forest floor. They bloom May through June. Also called, wild lily-of-the-valley.
